Jonathan Alberto’s impact at Essex Meadows isn’t just defined by big moments, it’s the small things he does every day that set him apart.
The son of Imelda and Oseas Alberto, who came from Puebla, Mexico, Jon grew up surrounded by hard work and dedication. His father supplies baked goods to the community, and his mother is a valued member of our housekeeping team here at Essex Meadows.
Born in Brooklyn in 2005, Jon moved to Deep River and eventually Essex, graduating from Valley Regional High School. During high school, he took a chance on a server position despite being naturally shy. What began as a challenge quickly turned into an opportunity for growth. Over the past three years, Jon has built a reputation through consistency. He regularly picks up shifts, steps in when the team is short, and helps coworkers without being asked. He handles busy services with a calm demeanor, takes on difficult sections, and quietly ensures things run smoothly.
“Jonathan has been an incredible coworker and one of the hardest workers on the team. Over the years, he has grown so much, constantly improving, stepping up, and proving himself through his dedication and effort. His progress and work ethic never go unnoticed” -Emily Lopez
Residents have taken notice, not just of his professionalism, but his kindness. Many now request Jon for private events, appreciating the genuine care he shows in every interaction.
What stands out most is his attitude. Whether helping a teammate, running food, or covering shifts to support the team, Jon approaches everything with a steady, positive presence. It’s those everyday actions that make a lasting difference.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys fishing, working out, and playing soccer. He is currently studying exercise science at Central Connecticut State University with plans to become a physical therapist.
Jon’s work ethic and willingness to help in any situation have made him an essential part of the dining team. Through the little things he does every day, he continues to elevate the experience for both residents and his coworkers. We are extremely grateful for Jon’s dedication to Essex Meadows and his commitment to helping others.
