It is with immense pride and great admiration that we congratulate Jorge Corrales on receiving The Little Things award. This recognition speaks highly of Jorge’s awe-inspiring contributions to the Essex Meadows community.

Everyone at Essex Meadows sees Jorge’s dedication, boundless energy, hard work, and leadership on a daily basis; it came as no surprise when Jorge was chosen to be honored.

Jorge is a role model. We value all his abilities and utilize his talents when it comes to training new staff in Environmental Services. Working with Jorge is such a pleasure. He is so friendly and caring. His personality lights up any room he enters. The Environmental Service Department is proud to have such a dedicated team member and recognizes all his accomplishments. Residents and staff commend Jorge on his ability to do the best job possible with a smile on his face.

Jorge Corrales was born in Colombia, South America. He came to this country 20 Years ago and is now a United States citizen. His mother and brothers still reside in Colombia.

Jorge has worked the evening shift at Essex Meadows for the last five years while also working a second job at Ocean Meadows Senior Living and Memory in Clinton. All this hard work has enabled Jorge and his wife to purchase their own home in Clinton. Additionally, he takes care of his mother’s needs in Colombia.
Sharon Degroat, Director of Environmental Services, said “I have worked closely with him, and there has not been a moment when he did not go beyond the call of duty.”
